I am sorry to hear about the loss of our dear friend Connie, the Oldfields girl with the contagious laugh. I will always remember her exuberance and kind nature. She was unique and talented. My condolence to her family.

I went to Oldfields with Connie. We were very close during our years there. We both enjoyed the outdoors and walked many miles together. We shared our dreams, we wrote wonderful stories and letters to each other. She helped me through a difficult time when my mother died a week before I graduated from Oldfields. Connie and I kept in touch while I was in college for a bit then fell back out of touch. I kept her letters and would re-read them. Her laugh would make my day…her honesty would warm my heart. She let the inner curious child live and she made it easy to enjoy the little things in life…always ready for adventure. I think I will dig out those letters and have my self a laugh through the tears. Oh she was wonderful…she was free…and now she is again. Please contact me.

Coincidentally, I ran into Connie about 3 weeks ago. Although we had known each other 25+ years, we had not done such a good job of keeping up with one another. It had been a few years since we last spoke, so we spent at least 2 hours that day just catching up. I gave her my card and expected to hear from her again soon. I'm glad we had that chance for such a good last visit. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Cann family.
